Held at Butcher’s Coppice, Bournemouth, the members took part in numerous skills-based activities such as constructing camp gadgets and lighting fires.
We were especially pleased that the members who have not camped before, and those who were worried about being away from home, thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are already looking forward to their next camp!
During the camp, the group took a visit to Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour, the birthplace of Scouting; where Baden-Powell held the first experimental Scout camping 1907. The Island is to this day a pilgrimage for Scouts worldwide.
